We’re excited to announce that Jules Desrochers of Elk Ridge Quarter Horses will be joining us for a two-day hands-on clinic focused on building confidence, trust, and communication between horses and their owners.
Whether you’re starting a young horse, working through challenges with a problem horse, rebuilding confidence, or simply wanting to improve your horsemanship, this clinic is designed for all experience levels.

Jules is known for his calm, practical approach to horsemanship and helping people create a stronger connection with their horses both on the ground and in the saddle.
📋 Clinic Format
• Limited to 15 participants
• Groups of 5 riders
• Approximately 3.5 hours of instruction per group each day
• One morning group and two afternoon groups
🐴 Don’t have a horse? Depending on your goals and what you’re looking to learn, we most likely have a horse available for you to use. From young horses to seasoned partners, we’ll do our best to match you with a horse that safely suits your learning objectives. “Availability is first come first serve”

About the clinician:
Julia was born and raised in Germany where her riding career started with English and then transitioned into western.
Since moving to Canada over 15 years ago she has worked with many great mentors and has garnered extensive show experience in reining, ranch riding and general western performance.
Some her achievements include numerous wins at NRHA reining events and AQHA shows in both Canada and the US , including placing 3rd at the Arizona Sun Circuit in 4-year-old open Ranch Riding.
Julia has a BSC in equine science and management and is also an Equine Canada registered Western Competition Coach and and a SHF certified General Performance Judge.
Horse Lessons at Cedar Ridge
We are proud to officially welcome Cheyenne Scott as our foundational instructor for beginner and youth riders at Cedar Ridge Estates.
This program is built on correct fundamentals, confidence building, and developing a true partnership between horse and rider.
At Cedar Ridge, our lesson horses are treated as equine athletes — carefully managed schedules, professional care, and structured programming ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
We offer horses suited for multiple stages of development — from our quiet, confidence-building walking horses to mounts with a little more pep in their step for riders ready to advance.
